1. No Access by Children Under 13

Account Information

When you create a HomeChata account, we collect the information necessary to establish and maintain your account, including your name and email address. If you register through a third-party authentication provider such as Google or Apple, we receive only the basic profile information — name and email — that you authorize that provider to share with us. We do not receive or store your authentication provider password.

Usage and Device Information

To deliver a reliable, high-performance experience, HomeChata automatically collects certain technical and usage data, including device type, operating system version, app interaction patterns, and diagnostic information such as crash reports and error logs. This data is used exclusively to maintain platform stability, improve performance, and enhance the user experience.

We do not track what individual users read or search beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

Addresses You Search

When you initiate a neighborhood intelligence report, we process the searched address and its geographic coordinates to retrieve and compile the relevant data intelligence for that location. Addresses you choose to save are stored in association with your account for convenient future access. This data is used solely to deliver the service you requested and to power the report caching functionality that protects you from duplicate credit charges.

Credit Balance and Transactions

We maintain a record of your credit balance and credit transaction history to accurately reflect your account entitlements and provide a consistent experience across devices. All payment transactions are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. HomeChata does not receive, process, or store any payment card information.

Location Data

HomeChata requests access to your device location only when you explicitly invoke the location-based address feature. We do not continuously track, log, or store your geographic location. Location access is used solely in the moment you request it and for no other purpose.

Public Safety and Neighborhood Data

HomeChata retrieves crime statistics, public safety information, sex offender proximity data, demographic and economic data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, flood hazard zone classifications and federal disaster declaration history from FEMA, natural hazard risk ratings from FEMA's National Risk Index, environmental quality indicators, and amenity data on demand in response to your search requests. This publicly available data is processed and presented as part of your neighborhood intelligence report. It is not stored permanently in association with your account and is not used to make any automated decisions about you as an individual.

These partners receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their specific function within the platform — for example, geographic coordinates to retrieve location-relevant public data. No personally identifiable user information is transmitted to government data sources in connection with neighborhood report generation. Technology providers such as Google may receive geographic coordinates and search queries as part of standard API operation; HomeChata does not pass user identity or account information to these providers.

Your use of HomeChata is subject to the applicable privacy policies of the technology and data partners that power our platform. We are not responsible for the independent data practices of our underlying partners.

HomeChata is a United States-only service. Our app is exclusively available for download in the United States through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All neighborhood data — including crime statistics, sex offender registry information, demographic and Census data, FEMA flood and disaster data, and air quality data — is sourced from U.S. government programs and is only applicable to U.S. addresses.

If you are a U.S. user traveling outside the United States, you may continue to access your account and previously saved reports. However, neighborhood intelligence reports are only available for U.S. addresses.

By using HomeChata, your personal information — including your name, email address, and usage data — is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that data protection laws in your country may differ from those in the United States.
